fanatic. in my own way.

i was just reading cori's blog about going to the breaking dawn midnight release party and i thought i'd share mine. for those of you that don't know, i'm kinda a twilight fan. if i could find a guy like edward cullen i would be in heaven. i think bella is stupid and i wish i had a best friend that was a werewolf... but ANYWAYS you get the point, i like my twilight. alicia and sonja just happen to be fans too so we decided it would be a hoot to go to barnes and noble for the midnight release. we knew the theme was "prom" for it but that didn't appeal to us quite as much as being our regular goofy selves. sonj had the funny idea to make tshirts to wear to the release and we just went with it [note, alicia is too cool for sonja and me. she even refused a shirt!] sonja's shirt said "i ♥ edward" on the front and "bite me...please" on the back while mine said "future mrs. cullen" and "my blood smells better than bella's" hahaha. ya, we think we're pretty funny. so we get to B&N and i swear there was not a single normal person there. everyone was in weird gothic clothes and prom dresses. i can understand the dresses but the all black...? come on. i wanted to yell at everyone that vampire does NOT equal promiscuous devil worshiper! everyone was pretty into it to the point of being slightly...errr... SUPER unfriendly. needless to say, we scooted out pretty quick. luckily hastings was having a party too so we headed over there. when we got there though, the doors were locked because there were too many people in there. shoot. UNTIL the out door opened really quick when someone leaned out to talk to someone outside. yep, we snuck in. and scored a spot in line to kill for. we were about the 4th in our line to get the book. we paid our fifteen bucks and cruised out. home by 12:30 with plenty of time to get my read on. the point of this is though, that yes i am a fan, but not exactly as crazed as the people at our local barnes and noble. and i'm ok with that. i think edward would like me slightly sane. c:
